Since 1978 G&S has been manufacturing Hardwood and Pine lumber here in the heart of the Pineywoods of East Texas' oldest town, Nacogdoches.
Our Products
We manufacture Industrial Grade, Hardwood and Pine Lumber.
Here at G&S Lumber, we stock a finished goods inventory of 300,000 to 500,000 board feet of lumber products. We have the capacity to produce lumber in lengths up to 20’ with a thickness and width of 20” x 20”, or we can produce specialty lumber as thin as 1/2” thick and 16” wide.
The following are some of the specific items we produce:
Railroad Ties
7 x 9 cross ties and switch ties in mixed hardwood and pine
Our green railroad ties conform to RTA (Railway Tie Association specifications.
Industrial Timbers, Blocking, Cribbing and Decking
Hardwood and Pine timbers to customer specification
We manufacture dimensions as large as 20” x 20” and lengths up to 20’.
We can easily produce 2x12 through 12x12 products.
Trailer Flooring
Full cut 2x8, 2x10 and 2x12 or 1-7/8 x 7-3/8; Oak
Pallet Cants
4x6, 6x6, and 6x8 pallet cants in lengths 8 to 12-foot lengths
Pallet Lumber / Truck & Ship Dunnage
1x4, 1x6, and 2x4; 8 through 16 foot lengths and
3x4 and 4x4; 8 through 12-foot lengths
Grade Lumber
We manufacture 4/4, random width, and random length grade Southern Red Oak and White Oak #2A, #3A, #1 common, and FAS lumber. We also have the ability to produce smaller quantities of other species like Ash, Walnut, Cedar, and Cypress.
Specialty Lumber
Our versatile process allows us the flexibility to produce certain specialty items in high volumes. Call, email, or fax us your specifications and we would appreciate the opportunity to provide you with a quote.
BI-Products
Incidental to our operation we do produce the following in truckload quantities:
Chips
* We produce hardwood and pine wood chips used to make paper and paper products.
Fuelwood
* We produce fuel wood used in boilers.
Bark
* We produce bark and mulch suitable for use in landscaping and agricultural applications.

Loggers
G&S Lumber Company currently works with hundreds of logging companies in East Texas and Louisiana. If you’re interested in hauling to our mill then it’s simple. Just contact us at (936) 564-7676 with your company information and Tax ID. One of our procurement foresters will contact you shortly.
G&S Lumber Company buys tree-length Mixed Hardwood Sawlogs, and Pine Sawlogs, both in 8” & 11” top classes.
We do not process Pulpwood at our mill.

Our Operation
In 1978, G&S Lumber began business as a hardwood tie mill manufacturing rough-sawn hardwood railroad ties and dimension lumber. Over the years, we have perfected our processes to include the production of a multitude of lumber products and species. We specialize in industrial-grade lumber, including dimensions as small as pallet parts and as large as heavy industrial timbers.
We also produce green southern red oak and white oak 4/4 lumber. With our inventory of up to 1/2 million board feet, we supply customers nationwide.
Our manufacturing facilities include a combination of tried and true good ole’ fashion circle saw technology as well as state-of-the-art thin kerf bandsaw and electronic automation. By incorporating these into our operation, we are able to provide our customers with the production and quality they deserve. At G&S, we deliver down-to-earth service. We’re not about bells and whistles but about service for you, the customer.
